Imputed Righteousness Within

Romans 4:22-24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Romans 4 in context

Scripture Focus

22And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
23Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
24But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
Romans 4:22-24

Biblical Context

Romans 4:22-24 states that Abraham's righteousness was counted to him, and not only for him, but for us who believe in the One who raised Jesus from the dead.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this page of the inner scripture, the word imputed becomes a statement about your present state. Righteousness is not a future achievement but a moment of recognition in your I AM. Abraham's faith did not earn him favor from outside; it settled him in a state of being that already exists in the consciousness that calls itself God. The imputation is the mind naming itself righteous and thereby becoming so. When you hear that the same principle is for you—if you truly believe the risen one—your inner state is rewritten. The same power that raised Jesus is the living life within you now. Believe, and you release the memory of lack and rest into a present, fixed identity in which righteousness is already yours.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume you are already the righteousness you seek. Rest in that I AM state for a few minutes, then gently revise any sense of lack by affirming there is only the I AM and I am it.
