Right Believing, Immediate Justification

Romans 4:2-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Romans 4 in context

Scripture Focus

2For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
3For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
4Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
Romans 4:2-4

Biblical Context

Abraham is not justified by works, so he cannot boast before God. Instead, the scripture says he believed God, and that belief was counted as righteousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, the story of Abraham is your inner state, not a distant event. When the I AM within trusts the unseen, the claim of righteousness is counted to you. If you fuss with 'works,' you place Grace in debt and sever yourself from the immediate kingdom. But when you rest in faith—believing in the reality of the unseen you—righteousness is imputed to your consciousness now. The verse says Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness; so too does your belief in the unseen count you righteous in this moment. Do not seek to earn approval by acts; instead, awaken to the truth that the I AM already approves, and the outer world will reflect that inner standing. As you dwell in that conviction, the sense of separation fades, and Grace flows as your natural condition.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine the inner scene: you are already justified by faith in the I AM within you. Feel that righteousness as your present reality and let it expand into deeds that spring from trust rather than effort.
