16Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
Romans 4:16

Biblical Context

Paul declares that the promise comes by faith and grace, not by the outward law, and that it is available to all who share Abraham’s faith. He also calls Abraham the father of us all.

Neville's Inner Vision

Romans 4:16 invites you to rest in the truth that the promise is grounded in faith, and sustained by grace, not by any outward law of performance. In Neville's sense, the 'law' is your external striving; the 'seed' is your inner state, the I AM that knows itself as already blessed. Abraham's faith becomes your template: the belief that you are the father of many by virtue of recognizing your unity with the One. When you entertain the feeling that you are the beloved child of God and that the source of all life flows from your I AM, the outer circumstances begin to reflect that inner conviction. The promise becomes sure to all who share this faith, because the source is not human audit but the divine consciousness within you. Do not chase results, but dwell in the awareness of your I AM, and let grace do its work through your inner state.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the state: 'I am the I AM of plenty now,' and feel the truth that the promise is mine by grace; linger with that feeling until it is real.
