Inner Reckoning of Faith

Biblical Context
Abraham was counted righteous before circumcision, by faith, not by outward rite. The sign of circumcision marks that inward righteousness and makes him the father of all who believe.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider Abraham’s reckoning as a story of your inner life. The question asks whether righteousness is credited after a rite or before it; the answer in the heart is: it is imputed in the uncircumcised state—the undivided I AM aware of itself. The sign of circumcision is but a seal, a symbol confirming that faith, not the source of it. So long as you hold that inner faith, you are already the father of all who believe; outward forms cannot awaken what consciousness already knows. Your body or ritual may change, but the inner condition remains: you are accepted, you are whole, you are righteous by the faith you entertain in your own being. In the Neville method, you do not beg for favor; you assume the wish fulfilled and feel it real in your chest until the world adjusts. The verse invites you to walk as Abraham walked: cherish the unseen covenant and let imagination testify to what you know in I AM.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quiet, feel the I AM within; repeat, 'I am righteous by faith' until you sense it as real. Then visualize yourself in a scene where you are guiding others by this faith, and let that inner decree reshape your outer world.
