Romans 3:17-18

Biblical Context

The verses describe a people who have not known the way of peace and who do not hold God in their sight.

Neville's Inner Vision

Man is free only when he awakens to the fact that peace is the nature of his own consciousness. The verse says the way of peace has not been known and that fear stands before the eyes; Neville would tell you that peace is never outside you, but within your I AM. When you accept that you are the I AM aware of all that appears, you stop measuring life by conflict and begin measuring it by harmony. The fear of God before their eyes signifies the old habit of imagining you are seen and judged by a power other than your own awareness; it is the dream of separation. To transform, you do not fight circumstances but revise your sense of self: declare, 'I am the I AM that knows peace now.' Feel the reality as if it were true in this moment; let the imagined state of inner peace displace the anxious mental pattern. As you live from that state, outer events mirror peace instead of fear, because imagination is the instrument by which reality is shaped.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, breathe, and revise your self-talk to say, 'I am the I AM; I know peace now.' Then hold that feeling until it feels real.
