Read Romans 3 in context

Scripture Focus

1What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?
2Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.
Romans 3:1-2

Biblical Context

Romans 3:1-2 asks what advantage the Jews have and answers there is much in every way. The chief benefit is that to them were committed the oracles of God.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine the Jew as a state of consciousness held safe by divine attention. The question 'What advantage?' is a question you may ask of yourself when you feel distant from inner guidance. The answer is not privilege in a world of appearances, but access: much is given to this state, chiefly because the inner oracles, the living Word within, have been committed to it. These oracles are not relics of the past but living directives of the I AM you call forth as your present attention. When you acknowledge that you already possess the memory of divine speech, you stop seeking from without and begin hearing from within. The covenant loyalty is your daily stance of trust - an inner agreement that the truth you seek is not elsewhere but within, waiting to be recalled and revived by your attention. Your prophecy and promise are the felt sense that guidance is possible now, here, as you choose to align with your inner Word.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, assume you are already in possession of the inner oracles; silently declare, 'I am the I AM hearing and acting from the divine Word within,' and then feel the sense of guidance guiding your next step.
