Awaken to the Day Within
Romans 13:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Romans 13 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul urges awake from sleep because salvation is near; cast off darkness and clothe yourself with the light.
Neville's Inner Vision
Knowing the time is not a calendar but a shift in consciousness; in this moment you are the I AM, and salvation is a present state you can embody now. The night represents ignorance and fear; the day is the awareness of your true nature. Cast off the works of darkness by refusing fear and doubt and choosing the light of conscious perception. The armor of light is the discipline of living from the end already established in your mind—feeling it real, imagining it, and acting as if you are fully awake. When you assume the end, you accelerate the transition from sleep to wakefulness, because your inner disposition governs your outer world. Your salvation nears because you decide the end is true now; illumination is a present posture of awareness. Stand in that posture until the feeling is real enough to be your normal state, and your outer life aligns with it.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, declare I am awakened now, and imagine wrapping myself in the armor of light. Feel the inner light enfold me, and revise the sense of delay into the present certainty that salvation is here.
