Romans 11:1-2

Biblical Context

Paul asserts that God has not cast away his people; the divine purpose remains intact. The passage points to continuity and foreknowledge within the covenant.

Neville's Inner Vision

Romans 11:1-2 speaks not of geography but of consciousness. When Paul asks, Hath God cast away his people, the answer is a luminous no: God forbids the idea because your I AM is the seed of Abraham, the Benjamin within you, the unwavering loyalty of the covenant in your own heart. Israel is not a nation separated from God; it is the state of mind that remembers and remains faithful to its source. God foreknew that you would wake to the truth that you are always loved, that the inner line of descent cannot be erased. Elijah's intercession is your persistent, inner prayer to the one I AM against the illusion of abandonment. The outer scene corresponds to a movement of belief within: a feeling that the covenant is broken yields to the realization that you are held by an eternal memory. Therefore the present moment is the continuation of the promise; you are not cast away, you are being re-membered by awareness.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume the I AM is the unchanging loyalty to your inner Israel; revise any sense of abandonment by silently repeating 'God hath not cast away' until it feels true, then imagine Elijah's intercession as your own awareness praying within.
