Romans 10:20-21

Biblical Context

Romans 10:20-21 teaches that God reveals Himself to those who do not actively seek Him, and extends His grace to a disobedient people; the inner invitation is to awaken to what is already present.

Neville's Inner Vision

Behold the inner Isaiah speaking as your I AM: God is found not by chasing Him down, but by resting into the awareness you already are. The verse says, I was found of them that sought me not; in other words, your own consciousness discovers itself when you stop chasing after a future God and yield to the present sense of being. I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me—what you seek appears when you cease seeking and assume that you already possess it. And to the disobedient, God’s hands are stretched all day—an image of your own steadfast grace toward every contrary thought. The key is not effort but alignment: dwell in the state you desire as if it is your natural condition, and the margins of lack dissolve. Imagination is the present-tense instrument of embodiment; the promises become intimate when you inhabit the end-state now. You are the finder and the found; the divine picture you hold of yourself is the very presence you awaken.

Practice This Now

Assume: I am found by the I AM now; revise any sense of separation and feel this state as real. Feel it real by dwelling in the sensation of already having what I seek.
