These lines do not accuse strangers, but declare the state your own consciousness has wandered into when you forget your unity with the I AM. The catalog—unrighteousness, fornication, covetousness, maliciousness, envy, murder, deceit, whispering, backbiting, disobedience—reads as the symptoms of a mind enthralled to fear, pride, and separation. In Neville’s view, every word is an image within you that calls forth its own reality; you birth a world by assuming the consciousness that believes in lack, hurt, and difference. Yet the remedy is not condemnation but a deliberate shift of state. Return to the acknowledgment that you are the I AM behind all thoughts, and choose a new pattern: righteousness, integrity, obedience to the inner order. Practice imagining you are already that which you seek to be, and feel the certainty of that identity until it saturates your senses.
