Read Romans 1 in context

Scripture Focus

16For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Romans 1:16

Biblical Context

Paul declares he is not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jews and then to the Greeks.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Neville, the gospel is not a distant doctrine but the living power of consciousness itself. Paul proclaims that the I AM—your essential awareness—need not shrink in the face of appearances, for this inner gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes. Salvation is not a future event but a shift in your state of mind: belief is not external assent but the inner perception that you are already the authorized Son, the one idea within God’s mind. The Jew and the Greek symbolize the two aspects of your mind—the intimate, faithful conviction and the outward, broader conditions—and the gospel comes first to the faithful inner state and then radiates outward to all faculties. When you acknowledge this power, you are not saved by facts but by the inner state that creates facts. Therefore, the gospel’s power is available to every view of yourself that aligns with being whole, complete, and divinely supported.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, and declare, I AM the power of God now. Revise any sense of lack by resting in that conviction and feel it real in the body as present, undeniable truth.
