Biblical Context
Paul expresses his intent to visit Rome to bear fruit among believers. He notes his obligation to all peoples and his readiness to preach, not ashamed, for the gospel is God's power for salvation to all who believe.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider the line as a mirror of your own states. The apostle’s longing to come to Rome reveals your inner readiness to bear fruit in every chamber of mind. The phrase I would not have you ignorant is your invitation to stop pretending ignorance of the powerful presence that you are. When he says he is debtor to Greeks and Barbarians, to the wise and the unwise, see that as the acknowledgment that every texture of consciousness owes its growth to the one light within. There is no external creditor; there is only your state expanding as you consent to it. As much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel becomes your declaration that you are prepared to speak from the true self to every thought in you. Not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation is the assertion that the moment you believe in I AM, salvation becomes your lived reality—within first, then outward in all forms.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume the I AM as the living gospel now—speak softly to yourself, I am the power of God unto salvation to all within me who believe. Revise a current limitation by declaring I am and feel it real.
