Biblical Context
Revelation 9:5 describes a limited period of torment granted to them, with death withheld, and the torment likened to a scorpion's sting.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this vision, the 'they' are not others but inner states of your own consciousness. The five months are not a calendar but a rhythm you give to a particular belief. The torment, like a scorpion's sting, reveals where your attention is fixed. Since God dwells in you as I AM awareness, no sting can truly wound the root of your being. The key is to recognize that you are the observer, the I within the scene, not the sting. When you assume a different state, and revise the meaning of the pain, you shorten or end that five-month cadence. So attend to a state you wish to live in—health, peace, success—and feel it as real now. Say to yourself, 'I am this now,' and let the feeling of that reality flow through you until it stands undeniable. The torment remains only as long as your belief clings to lack; relinquish the belief and the inner draft turns into the outer truth.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Each day, assume the desired state and feel it real for five minutes, revising the scene until the sting subsides and the new reality is vivid.
