Inner Turning Amid Idols
Revelation 9:19-21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The plagues press outward, but the heart remains fixed on external idols. Many refuse repentance, clinging to outward power and harmful deeds.
Neville's Inner Vision
Verse 19 presents power as two-edged: the mouth that speaks rule and the tail that bites with the impression of separation. In Neville’s terms, these are inner movements of the ego: beliefs that life depends on outward devices—devils, idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, wood—things seen as strong because they are forgotten as inside jobs. The ‘plagues’ are the friction you experience when a state of consciousness clashes with its own assumption, waking you to the need to repent. Yet the rest refuse: they insist on worshiping hands that cannot see, hear, or walk, clinging to outward power as if it were real. The inner invitation is plain: turn away from these outward forms and return to the I AM within. The true worship is not ceremony but recognition that I am the power; the idols dissolve as you acknowledge that the Source alone is real. Your world will adjust to reflect the new state you entertain.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quiet, breathe, and assume the I AM as your only power. Revise the scene by seeing all idols dissolve into light and the 'plagues' vanish as your awareness anchors in the I AM.
