Your inner world is the stage; the third part is a slice of your consciousness that still believes in danger or separation. The fire, smoke, and brimstone that issue from their mouths are not external plagues but the combustible energies of thought, word, and belief you have spoken into your own life. When you hold to a state of fear, you identify with a reality that consumes vitality; you kill a portion of your sense of wholeness by repeating harsh judgments. The remedy is to awaken to the I AM within, the unconditioned awareness that remains unchanged by appearances. In this doctrine, the world outside is the automatic result of your inner state: you do not fight the world—you revise the state by assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled and speaking from the I AM. Begin with a simple revision for one area that matters to you; when you hear your own voice spurring doom, replace it with a present-tense statement of what you desire. As you dwell there, the harsh trio dissolves and the inner life is restored.
