Biblical Context
Revelation 9:17 depicts armored horses whose fire, jacinth, and brimstone breastplates signal dynamic inner forces. Their lion-like heads and fiery mouths symbolize bold, righteous action arising from the I AM within.
Neville's Inner Vision
Count the vision as a map of your own consciousness. The horses are not without you; they are states you entertain in the inner arena. The breastplates of fire, jacinth, and brimstone are the intensities of your imagination—clear, fierce, and purifying. The heads of the horses like lions point to the sovereign center you truly are—the I AM that observes and commands. What spews from their mouths is not external doom but the word-forms your mind projects into your world. When you acknowledge these powers as aspects of your own awareness, you stop pleading with fate and begin steering events from within. The kingdom of God is not somewhere else but in your own consciousness, already present as you remain watchful and alive to your assumed state. In this inner drama, mercy and justice are judgments you render to yourself, and your life mirrors that verdict. Practice seeing yourself as the rider of these forces, aware, decisive, and compassionate, acting from the I AM that never leaves your sight.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume, for a few minutes, that you are the I AM riding these horses; feel their fire as your conviction and their lion heads as your sovereign attention. Then revise any fear by declaring, 'I am the Presence that commands this vision here and now.'
