Inner Kingdom Revelation 9:13-19

Revelation 9:13-19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Revelation 9 in context

Scripture Focus

13And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
14Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.
15And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.
16And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
17And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.
18By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.
19For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.
Revelation 9:13-19

Biblical Context

The passage describes a dramatic release of powers that bring judgment on a portion of humanity, depicted with fire, smoke, and brimstone; it is presented as a symbolic, inner-cleansing event rather than a literal external attack. It also points to shifts in inner states that create changes in the outer world.

Neville's Inner Vision

The sixth angel's sounding marks a turning of attention in your consciousness. The four bound angels in the Euphrates are the powers you have allowed to lie dormant—habits, fears, judgments, and old stories. When you assent to a new state, they are loosed not to punish you but to reveal the boundary you have crossed within your inner kingdom. The third part of man dying signals the dissolving of the old sense of separation as you insist on the unity of I AM present in you. The horses and their lion-headed riders symbolize the vivid pictures your imagination can conjure; their fire, smoke, and brimstone are the consequences of thoughts you have spoken or believed. Remember: their power is in the mouth and in the tail—what you articulate and what you sensationalize through feeling becomes your experience. Rather than waiting for prophecy to strike, you claim the new state now; refine your inner decree, feel it as real, and the world will reorganize to reflect the state you inhabit.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, place a hand on your chest, and declare, I AM the ruler of my inner world; feel the truth of that state as real. Then rest in the feeling and observe how your daily life begins to align with it.
