Biblical Context
Revelation 9:1-21 depicts a force unleashed on those lacking spiritual alignment, bringing torment that cannot kill, followed by calls to repentance and alignment with God.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider the fifth trumpet as a turning within: a star of consciousness descends into your field and opens a pit of forgotten fears. The smoke darkening the sun and air represents awareness dimmed by fixed beliefs; yet the pit exists as a doorway your imagination can enter. From it arise locusts—your habitual thoughts and patterns—granted power to torment those who have not the seal of God in their foreheads, i.e., those not anchored in the I AM within. They are not allowed to kill, only to sting for a finite season—five months—reflecting a repeating inner pattern you can revise. In those days, the mind may crave escape, but death flees because the remedy is not withdrawal but a shift of state. The locusts’ forms—the crowns, hair, and wings—mirror the shapes your fearful thoughts assume when you identify with fear rather than with divine awareness. The sixth angel’s loosening of four bound angels suggests releasing long-held beliefs that threaten an old self; yet the invitation remains: repent and align with the God within. Real power is the consciousness you inhabit, here and now.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume the state 'I AM' as your permanent identity and revise any fear as 'I am free.' Close your eyes and feel this truth as the only reality for five minutes.
