Biblical Context
Revelation 8:10-11 shows a great star named Wormwood falling to contaminate a third of the rivers and waters, making them bitter and causing many to die. In this symbol, the waters represent the inner life of mind and feeling.
Neville's Inner Vision
Inside the vision, the third angel’s star is a vivid idea that lights a portion of your inner stream. The falling star signifies a movement in consciousness that touches a river of belief and leaves it tasting bitter. The waters are your thoughts, feelings, and life-flow; to drink Wormwood is to entertain a belief that life is tainted, and to die is the old way of those beliefs dying in the birth of a new state. But in Neville’s world, God is the I AM, and imagination is the instrument of creation. If you notice that a third of your mental rivers have become bitter, do not judge—use it as a hint to revise. Assume the opposite: that the bitterness is dissolved by a greater illumination; feel the purified waters as if they are already here; repeat, “I am the living water, I am whole.” When you persist in that assumed reality, the inner star loses its power, and the stream flows clear, nourishing a new portion of consciousness. This is prophecy fulfilled within you: a promise becoming your present experience.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and revise the impression: imagine Wormwood’s bitterness dissolving into light; feel the waters of your inner life flowing clear and abundant. Then affirm, with conviction, “I am the living water; my consciousness is renewed.”
