Winds Held At The Four Corners

Revelation 7:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Revelation 7 in context

Scripture Focus

1And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
Revelation 7:1

Biblical Context

Four angels stand at the earth's corners, restraining the winds. The image points to inner faculties that hold back disruptive forces until the right moment.

Neville's Inner Vision

In Revelation 7:1 the four corners of the earth symbolize four quarters of your consciousness—mind, heart, will, and body—where winds of worry, impulse, and opinion arise. The angels who hold the winds are not outside powers but your own I AM, the steadfast awareness that remains behind every thought and sensation. When you recognize that you are the imaginer, you restrain what would otherwise sweep through your life by aligning with the truth of your oneness with Infinite Providence. The winds continue to exist as potential, yet they do not move the trees or seas because your state of being is held in stillness by the one who imagines. Thus the verse invites a practical shift: claim that the winds are held by your I AM, dwell in the quiet certainty of consciousness, and revise any threatening scenario as already unreal in light of your divine state. In so doing, you enact Providence in your everyday world.

Practice This Now

Practice: close your eyes, imagine the four winds held at the corners by your I AM, and feel the stillness as your new baseline. Then revise any fear by affirming I am the I AM; the wind cannot move me.
