Before the Throne Within
Revelation 6:15-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Revelation 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Revelation 6:15-17 depicts everyone fleeing to the mountains and begging to be hidden from the face of the one on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. It ends with the stark question, who shall be able to stand?
Neville's Inner Vision
All the characters in Revelation 6:15-17 are states of your consciousness. The kings, the great men, the rich, the captains, the mighty, the bondman and the free—these are the different roles you wear when you have forgotten the throne you sit upon. The throne is your I AM, your continuous sense of being. The face of him that sits on the throne is the quiet, fearless witness that sees through every label and every picture of wrath. The great day of his wrath is not a threat to be endured; it is the moment you allow your awareness to outshine fear and revise it as misunderstood power. When you imagine yourself in the posture of the I AM, you discover that nothing from the outer world can stand against your inner state. The mountains and rocks that you would call to fall on you are dissolved by the light of consciousness. The question 'who shall be able to stand?' becomes moot for the awakened, for you already stand whole, unthreatened, and sovereign on the throne within.
Practice This Now
Assume the I AM as your present reality and feel it real now; revise the scene to show you already stand unshaken on the throne, while fear dissolves into quiet power.
