Read Revelation 3 in context

Scripture Focus

12Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
Revelation 3:12

Biblical Context

Revelation 3:12 speaks of the overcomer becoming a pillar in the temple of God, named with God’s own name and the name of the city, new Jerusalem, signaling permanent inner dwelling in divine presence.

Neville's Inner Vision

To overcome is to turn your attention to the I AM that already dwells in you. The pillar symbolizes unwavering consciousness in the temple of your God; the names written upon you identify your true nature and your inner city, the new Jerusalem, as the order, beauty, and harmony of your inward life. The text points to a transformation that happens in awareness: you are given the divine name and the city’s name, and you live from that identifications, not from lack. The inner city is not a distant place but your present state of wholeness, coming down from heaven as revelation within. When you awaken to this, you become a permanent resident of the temple, never stepping back into the old, restless self. Write the divine identifiers upon your heart and feel your life align with the Father’s will. The new name signifies a refreshed selfhood that you wear in every thought, word, and deed.

Practice This Now

Practice: sit quietly and assume the state of being the pillar in the temple of God, feeling steadfast presence. Silently repeat I am the pillar, I am the temple, I am the I AM, and imagine God writing His name on you and the inner Jerusalem descending within.
