Revelation 22:8

Biblical Context

John sees and hears a vision, and is overwhelmed. He then falls down to worship the messenger who revealed what he saw.

Neville's Inner Vision

John’s scene is not merely awe; it is a map of your inner life. The vision comes to your consciousness to show you what you are willing to entertain as real. The angel before whom you bow is the messenger of your own imagination—the idea that reveals what you have chosen to accept as true. When you hear and see, you are not following someone outside you; you are acknowledging the Presence that has always been within your I AM. Worship, in this sense, is reverent alignment with the source of revelation. The moment you fall into alignment with the inner Presence, you release the old self and allow the vision to assert itself as your present experience. Presence is not a distant deity but the ongoing awareness you inhabit. The angel vanishes as you realize the act of worship is the act of believing in the state you want, and the vision becomes your reality by your willing acceptance.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and imagine you are the observer John, witnessing a vision arising from your own imagination; bow inwardly to the Presence within and declare, 'I worship the Source that reveals these things.' Stay in that feeling until the scene feels real in you.
