Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage presents a river of life and a tree of life in the holy city, with healing leaves and no more curse. It centers on dwelling with God and reign that lasts forever.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the mystic sense, the river of life is not a mere stream of water but the continuous flow of consciousness that proceeds from the throne of God and the Lamb—the I am you are. This river runs through the street of your inner city and nourishes the tree of life, whose twelve fruits appear as you steady your imagination and release one complete state after another, month by month. The leaves of the tree are healing for the nations because your thoughts and feelings, when allied with divine light, heal collective fear and discord. The no more curse signals that the throne of God and the Lamb reside within you; when you are living from that inner throne, service follows as natural alignment with the divine will. Seeing His face is the recognition of your true identity as God’s beloved, with His name imprinted on your forehead as the sign of knowing. No night there means no absence of illumination; the Lord God lightens your inner world. When you perceive this inner kingdom, you reign forever and ever. Your outer world will reflect this inner state as you persist in the feeling of the wish fulfilled.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, imagine standing by a pure river flowing from your own inner throne, and see the tree of life with fresh fruit. Then affirm, I am the light and I reign with God now, and feel it as real.
