Biblical Context
Revelation 21:18-21 describes a holy city whose walls, foundations, gates, and streets are made of precious materials, symbolizing its inner perfection and beauty.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, the vision in Revelation is not distant architecture but your inner I AM taking form. The wall of jasper is the purity that guards your attention; the city shines with gold, clear as glass, through which nothing unformed can enter your sight. The twelve foundations garnished with stones correspond to twelve states of consciousness you live in imagination: jasper, sapphire, chalcedony, emerald, sardonyx, sardius, chrysolyte, beryl, topaz, chrysoprasus, jacinth, amethyst—each a habit of thought and a virtue you practice. As you dwell inside this state, the gates of pearl swing open to welcome you, and the street of gold becomes your transparent daily life. The construction is completed in imagination first; the outer world follows as you persist in the inner picture. You are not awaiting a future city; you are the I AM building it now. So revise any claim of lack, assume the end, feel the reality, and let the city stand in the present.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, assume you are already inside the city; feel the jasper walls around you, the golden streets beneath your feet, and the pearl gates opening to your present I AM. Then revise any lack until your inner vision and outer life align.
