Pergamos Within: Sword of Repentance
Revelation 2:12-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Revelation 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage commends steadfastness in faith while condemning compromise with false doctrines and idolatries, calling for repentance and warning of judgment. It promises hidden manna, a white stone, and a new name to the overcomer.
Neville's Inner Vision
Pergamos is the inner stronghold of your mind where you have settled into a sense of separation and fear—the seat where 'Satan' dwells in your self-conceptions. The sharp sword with two edges is the living word you awaken as the I AM within you: it divides what you believed you were from what you truly are, exposing the blocks you call the Balaam doctrine and the Nicolaitanes. These blocks are not outside forces but beliefs you have tolerated that block the flow of your wholeness. To repent is not punishment but revision: assume a higher state now, align your thoughts with the truth of your I AM, and let the old lectures of limitation fall away. If you overcome by staying in that elevated state, you are nourished by the hidden manna—an immediate, intimate sustenance from your higher consciousness—and you receive a white stone and a new name, a transformative self-definition known to your awakened self alone. Hear Spirit’s invitation, and dwell as the composer of your own reality.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the I AM as your only reality; imagine the old belief (idol or fear) being cut away by the sword of truth and dissolved into light. Then picture receiving the white stone with your new name and feel the nourishment of the hidden manna within.
