Inner Judgment, Inner Reward
Revelation 18:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Revelation 18 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Revelation 18:5–6 states that sins have reached heaven and God has remembered them. It speaks of repayment in kind, even a double measure, according to works.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, do not read this as external punishment, but as the inner law operating in consciousness. The 'she' Babylon is a state of complacent self that forgets its unity with the I AM. When you imagine that God remembers, you remember your own past thoughts and deeds as images within awareness. The call to reward her double is not vengeance but the natural balance of your inner world: as you have lived in consciousness as a certain attitude, your inner self mirrors it back to you, calling you to revise. The cup she filled is the cup of belief pressed to your lips by imagination; if you insist on separation, you drink the cup of fear; if you align with love, you drink the cup of justice that is justice as self-knowledge. Work by imagining that you are the I AM aware of all, and that you can revise earlier acts by accepting responsibility and choosing a new state of consciousness that harmonizes with unity. In this way, the outer events reflect your inner shift.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare: I am the I AM; I remember only the good I intend today; revise by forgiving myself and aligning with divine order. Feel it real.
