In your inner drama, Babylon is not a place but a state of consciousness addicted to wealth, status, and false worship. The candle’s light going out signals the moment when you identify with outer merchants and pretend that the world’s opinions determine your reality. The ‘sorceries’ are the hypnotic beliefs of mass mind that persuade nations, but they are only the wrong assumptions you have accepted as true. When you live by those outward measures, you silence the voice of the Bridegroom and Bride within—the living instruction of I AM—whose counsel awakens all things to truth. The blood prophets verse speaks of the consequences of that choice: your inner prophets and saints are ignored, and so you drain your inner city of life. Yet this is not punishment but a call to revise. Return to your I AM, imagine yourself as the sovereign consciousness that provides, illumines, and guides. When you refuse the external sorcery and claim your inner light, the old city dissolves and your inner kingdom is restored.
