Revelation 17:9-10

Biblical Context

The verse presents seven mountains as the mind's enduring states, with a woman seated upon them. It speaks of seven kings—five fallen, one present, and another to come—whose transient rule reveals the need to claim true inner authority.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here is the mind that hath wisdom in action. The seven heads are seven mountains, not distant hills but the fixed beliefs and habits that crown your sense of self. The woman sitting upon them is the collective appearance of life—your assumed separation from the Inner I AM. The seven kings symbolize the ruling authorities of consciousness: five are fallen (outdated patterns you have outgrown), one is (the present habitual state you presently identify with), and the other is not yet come (a future possibility not yet claimed). When he cometh, he must continue a short space—meaning external powers and tyrannies over your life are temporary, because consciousness can alter itself. The invitation is to discern with the inner wisdom that never changes: you, as I AM, can decree a new reign within. In that shift, the Kingdom of God rises within, not as conquest of others but as the quiet realization that you are the ruler of your own inner hills, where true authority is found in awareness.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Assume the I AM is seated on the seven mountains now; revise by renouncing the old kings and declaring your own inner authority. Feel the shift as you rest in the awareness that you are the ruler, and let the old rulers fall away.
