Revelation 17:10-11

Biblical Context

Revelation 17:10-11 speaks of seven inner rulers: five have fallen, one is, and the other is not yet come; when he arrives, he continues a short space. The beast that was, and is not, becomes the eighth, yet remains of the seven and goes to perdition.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within your mind there are seven kings, rulers of your inner weather. Five are fallen, no longer governing your life; one is present—the I AM now aware; another has not yet come—the fresh state you have not fully assumed. When this new king enters, he appears for a short space unless you yield to him as your reality. The beast that was, and is not, is the eighth; it is born from the seven and goes to perdition only when you stop feeding it with attention. The eighth is not an external tyrant, but a law of consciousness: the next level you imagine and accept as real becomes your rule. If you awaken to the feeling of the present I AM as sovereign, the old ruler fades, and your world reorganizes to fit the new king. Imagination creates reality, and you confirm by dwelling in the feeling of the eighth king here and now.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the I AM is the ruling king of your inner scene. Revise the sense of the old king as finished and feel the eighth king occupying space as real, here and now.
