Scripture Focus

10And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
Revelation 17:10

Biblical Context

The verse speaks of seven kings: five have fallen, one exists now, and another is not yet come, to rule for a short space.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the book's vision, the seven kings are not distant rulers but stations of consciousness inside you. The five fallen are worn-out stories you have accepted as truth—the fear, lack, and limitation you have rehearsed until they crowned themselves kings in your day. The one that is is your present awareness—the I AM that notices, yet often yields to the old order. The one not yet come is a future self, robed in a victorious imagination, a king that will reign only when you invite him with feeling. The clause 'he must continue a short space' reveals the transitory nature of any crown not sustained by imagination. When you assent to the living idea of already possessing what you seek, you enthrone the new king here and now. The world rearranges to reflect the inner royal state. Do not lament the fallen; praise the coming king by dwelling in the end-feeling until your heart knows it as real. Remember: God is awareness, and you are that God imagining your world into being.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Sit in stillness, assume the end you desire as already true, and feel the throne of the new king solid beneath you. Then revise a recent scene where the old kings ruled by replaying it with the new king in charge.
