Inner Sea Transformed
Revelation 16:3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The second angel pours out a vial on the sea, turning it to the blood of a dead man and ending life in the sea.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your sea is the inner mood and belief that waters your days. When the second vial is poured upon the sea, the old charged currents are dissolved—the 'blood of a dead man' is the symbol of a consciousness that has died to the old identity. In Neville's language, God is I AM, awareness, and imagination is the creative act. This moment does not threaten you but invites an inner rearrangement: the life that rode the sea of past feelings is replaced by a new living soul, released from fear, attachment, and limitation. The decree does not alter external events; it reconditions your inner state so that a new form of life arises. The line 'every living soul died in the sea' signifies the death of the life you previously identified with as 'the self of the sea' and the birth of a liberated watcher, who commands the sea by inward decree. When you identify with the I AM and feel the truth of your being, the opposite of tragedy becomes a seed for renewal: you awaken to a state where the sea serves your inner peace and purpose rather than your former lack.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In the next moment, close your eyes, state softly, 'I am the I AM; the old self dies now,' and feel the sea of your inner life becoming still, as new awareness rises.
