Inner Temple Unfolded in Revelation
Revelation 15:5-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Revelation 15 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
John sees the heavenly temple opened and seven angels coming forth with the plagues, wrapped in linen; a beast hands them seven golden vials full of wrath.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that the temple in heaven opening is your own mind becoming aware. The seven angels are the seven faculties you can call forth by feeling and imagination: imagination itself, faith, discernment, courage, opportunity, gratitude, and service. They come clothed in purity, symbolizing that when you align your inner state with the divine I AM, your actions are righteous and centered. The golden girdles bind their work to your higher purpose. The seven golden vials, filled with the wrath of God, represent the release of energy when old beliefs are confronted and burned away by conscious decree. Wrath, properly directed, is the force that cleanses error from your inner world, making room for truth to take form. The four beasts attending remind you that all experience can be interpreted as messages from your inner self. If you assume a state in which the temple is open and you witness the angels acting, you will witness outward events rearranging to match your changed inner condition.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume you are the I AM, and revise a current problem by declaring, 'The temple of my mind is opened; the angels of awareness and power move within me.' Then feel the truth in your body for a few minutes, letting transformative energy wash the scene.
