Flood of Thought, Grounded Being

Revelation 12:15-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Revelation 12 in context

Scripture Focus

15And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
Revelation 12:15-16

Biblical Context

A surge of hostile energy is aimed to carry the woman away. Yet the earth helps, opening to swallow the flood and hold the faithful safe.

Neville's Inner Vision

Read not as a distant scene but as your own inner theatre. The serpent issuing water after the woman is the flood of distracting thoughts and fear that would sweep your awareness away from the I AM. The woman is your steadfast consciousness—attentive, receptive, faithful. The earth opening her mouth and swallowing the flood is the moment when your own mental soil—grounded awareness—refuses consumption by fear and absorbs the onslaught into a deeper state of presence. In Neville's terms, the dragon's flood is a belief in separation; the earth is the living, thinking principle that swallows it when you align with the I AM and entertain a different assumption. When you imagine the earth swallowing the flood, you are re-teaching your mind to be the ground of being that can neutralize the projected currents. Do not seek rescue outside; awaken to your inner republic where Providence is your inner hinge and your God-self gently withdraws the fear by seeing it as imagination.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and envision a flood of thoughts advancing toward you. See the earth yawn and swallow the wave, and affirm: I am the ground of my being; I am protected by the I AM.
