Patmos to Inner Kingdom
Revelation 1:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
John identifies as your brother and companion in tribulation, sharing in the kingdom and patience; he writes from Patmos as a symbol of inner isolation for the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider that John’s voice is your own, declaring you are both in tribulation and in the kingdom with patience, right now. Patmos is not a distant island; it is the current mood of consciousness where ordinary sights dim and the Word of God takes center stage. The two phrases, 'the kingdom' and 'patience of Jesus Christ,' reveal a seamless state: the kingdom is the unshakable I AM you awaken to, and patience is the steady tempo by which you endure appearances without surrender. Tribulation, then, is not a punishment but a doorway through which the inner revelation speaks. Your present reality mirrors this truth: you are not expelled from Christ; you are present as Christ in the same consciousness. By assuming, here and now, that I am in this kingdom and thus in the patience of Christ, fear loosens its grip, the inner Word becomes audible, and your testimony flows as a natural expression of who you are rather than a struggle you endure.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and repeat: I am in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ now. Feel this as present awareness and let the sense of isolation melt into inner light, so that the Word of God and your testimony rise from within.
