Biblical Context
The verse declares the LORD is supreme in Zion, the inner center of consciousness, and above all people. It invites viewing inner sovereignty rather than outer appearances as the basis of reality.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this verse you are taught to locate majesty not in temples or crowds, but in your own consciousness. Zion is the quiet inner state where you know the I AM as sovereign. The LORD being great there means your awareness is not dependent on appearances; it stands above the people—above fear, doubt, and circumstance. When you dwell in this inner Zion, you do not plead with life for favors; you command your inner climate and trust that the outer world will reflect your inner state. The phrase high above all the people is the posture of assumption: you accept that God, the I AM, reigns in you now, through you, and as you. So your practice is revision and feeling-it-real: revise any sense of lack into abundance, fear into peace, limitation into majesty. Remember, the only power is consciousness; the world follows your inner state. As you persist in this awareness, you awaken to the truth that life unfolds from the one I AM within you.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling of being the I AM; affirm silently, 'The LORD is great in me, I AM exalted above all appearances.' Then dwell in that inner Zion for a few minutes, letting outer conditions soften to reflect your inner sovereignty.
