Psalms 99:1-3

Biblical Context

The psalm proclaims the Lord's reign and holiness, inviting awe and worship from the people. It frames worship as acknowledging a divinely established order.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here the psalm is not about a distant monarch but the I AM seated in you, the inner government that governs your life. The Lord reigneth—your awareness rules when you consent to it in imagination. Let the people tremble becomes the tremor of old thoughts when you awaken to the fact that you are the throne itself and the earth moves under the shift of consciousness. He sitteth between the cherubims—two lifted states of consciousness, aligned in devotion, the inner cherubim watching over your heart. The Lord is great in Zion and high above all the people means your inner sanctuary is exalted beyond outward appearance. Let them praise thy great and terrible name—for holiness is the recognition of the sacred I AM within. Your work is to feel and acknowledge this sovereignty now, to treat your inner life as the throne of God.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and feel: I AM reigns now. Assume the throne of your awareness, revise any lack with the certainty of divine rule, and imagine the earth gently moving beneath your new sense of sovereignty.
