Read Psalms 99 in context

Scripture Focus

1The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.
Psalms 99:1

Biblical Context

The verse declares God’s sovereign reign and places His throne within the soul; the trembling of people and the earth’s movement signify the outer world responding to an inner realized kingship.

Neville's Inner Vision

To say the Lord reigns is to declare the king who I AM has established the rightful rule inside. The throne sits not on a distant cloud but within the inner sanctuary of my awareness, between the cherubim—the crowned attributes of mind that guard the sacred unity: will and intuition, action and perception. When I assume that I reign, fear loosens its hold and the world begins to respond as a loyal subject. The tremble of the people and the earth’s movement are the outer signs of an inner shift: my attention ceases to bargain with limitation and commits to the reality that I am the ruler of my own domain. Imagination creates this shift; feeling it as real locks it in. The presence of God is not a geography but a state of consciousness that I carry into every moment. Reign is not conquest over others, but alignment with the I AM that loves, guides, and sustains me from within.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit in quiet, declare 'I AM the Lord reigns in me now' and feel the throne in your chest; visualize sitting between cherubim and let the earth beneath you vibrate with your inner conviction.
