Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Psalm 97:6-9 speaks of God's supremacy and the public witness of righteousness. It also declares the futility of idols and the rejoicing of Zion in divine judgments.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your inner heavens declare righteousness, and the entire field of your awareness bears witness to your true glory. In Neville’s terms, these heavens are states of consciousness; when you align with the I AM, right order becomes visible in every scene of life. The line about idols confounding those who worship them is a reminder that fixed images you cling to will crumble when you worship the living Presence within. Worship him, all ye gods, means you replace every subordinate image with the One Power that animates you. Zion heard and was glad, and the daughters of Judah rejoiced, becomes your inner Zion—the kingdom of right sense—awakening to judgments that restore harmony in mind and life. The truth that thou, LORD, art high above the earth and exalted far above all gods points to the I AM as the Reality beyond form. So you revise, you feel it real, you inhabit the state of fullness now, and you watch appearances reflect your consciousness as righteousness.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling of the I AM as your immediate reality, repeating: I am the righteousness of God; I reign above every image and belief. Then visualize a radiant heaven within you dissolving every idol image into light.
