Plainly, the psalm shows God as a purifying fire and light that purge enemies and reveal righteousness. The people, Zion and Judah, rejoice at His judgments.

Do not fear the idols you once served; let them be confounded by the simple act of recognizing that the God you worship is within, the I AM that you are. When Zion hears and rejoices, it is the consciousness now fully awake to its rightful judgments and glory.
