Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Psalm 97:3-6 presents God's presence as a purifying force: a fire goes before Him, fiery light illumines all, and even the hills melt at the sight of the Lord. The passage closes with the heavens declaring righteousness, inviting all to awaken to His glory.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the silent room of your own awareness, the events of Psalm 97:3–6 are not external dramas but symptoms of your inner state. The 'fire' that goes before Him is the purifying radiance of your I AM, burning away every belief that you are separate from divine justice. The 'lightnings' that enlighten the world are flashes of insight that awaken you to truth you already are, turning fear into understanding. 'The hills melted like wax' speaks of fixed ideas and stubborn habits dissolving before the living Presence you call Lord of the whole earth—the one I AM within you. When the heavens declare His righteousness and all the people see His glory, you witness your own consciousness reflecting back its own holiness. Thus righteousness is not an external standard but a state of alignment with awareness that forgives, reveals, and completes. In this reading, judgment is inner correction, separation becomes unity, and glory arises as you stand in the certainty that God is your own I AM.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit in stillness and declare, 'I AM that I AM.' Now, visualize a bright fire marching before you, consuming every belief in separation; feel the hills of fear melt as you realize the Lord of the whole earth is your awareness.
