Biblical Context
The verse declares God's rule over all, prompting joy on the earth; His throne is surrounded by justice, and creation witnesses His radiant presence.
Neville's Inner Vision
To Neville, Psalm 97:1-6 is not about an external monarch but your own I AM, the throne of awareness that reigns in you. Clouds and darkness circle the throne, yet they are the psychic weather through which your state passes. The fire that goes before Him and the lightnings that brighten the world are the energizing actions of your imagination in agreement with law. When you feel the earth rejoice and the hills melt, you are not praying for a distant event; you are recognizing and sustaining the governing presence within. The heavens declare righteousness because your inner sight aligns with a fixed, divine order: the moment you consent to the kingdom within, outer discord dissolves and fear converts to faith. See that the Lord of the whole earth is your own awareness, and let your day be a liturgy of gratitude for the ruling you are. Practice: assume the throne now in consciousness; feel the reality of sovereignty; and revise any lack into abundant order, until your world reflects this inner government.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, place yourself in the throne of I AM, and silently declare: 'I AM reigns now.' Then revise a current lack or fear into the order of this reign, and feel it real until the sensation persists.
