Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The psalm invites all kindreds to worship the LORD, acknowledging His reign and the earth’s joy. It also speaks of a coming judgment judged by righteousness and truth.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the psalm, the nations are inner states of consciousness, and the Lord's reign is the awareness you cultivate. When you affirm the I AM as sovereign, you offer attention to the inner courts and see the outer world respond to that recognition. Worship in holiness becomes alignment of your dispositions with divine authority, not ritual obligation. Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth translates to recognizing your thoughts and beliefs as the rulers of your world; the earth is established by your faithful acknowledgment of your own sovereignty and justice. Let the heavens rejoice and the earth be glad; the sea and fields reflect the inner joy of a mind that has chosen to reign. This is your coming judgment—believing in righteousness and truth inside becomes the conditions you experience outside. The entire scene moves in response to your inner state; you are the author of what unfolds, because you live from the I AM and entertain a state that cannot be undone by circumstance.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, place your attention on the I AM within, and revise any sense of lack by declaring I reign now. Feel the beauty and righteousness as a lived inner state, then carry that feeling into your daily life.
