Psalms 96:2-4

Biblical Context

The passage calls us to bless the LORD and announce His daily salvation. It also urges declaring His glory among all people, recognizing that the LORD is great and to be feared above all gods.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of Psalms 96:2-4 as a manual for the inner throne. To bless the LORD's name is to acknowledge the I AM here as the source of all good; to declare His salvation day by day is to reaffirm my inner victory over lack, fear, and limitation. The glory I am to declare among the nations becomes the radiance of my consistent consciousness seen in outward experiences; the wonders among all people are the manifestations of my inner assurance that the divine nature informs every event. The verse proclaims that the LORD is great and to be greatly praised, and that the so-called gods of limitation are nothing before the supreme I AM. In this reading I am not seeking an external deity, but waking to the truth that my awareness is the only reality and the world outside is a projection of my inner state. When I live this way, I fear nothing that arises because I know my I AM governs all; salvation is my inner state of being witnessed in form.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and, for a minute, assume the I AM as the source of daily salvation; bless the name within and feel your outer life reflecting that inner praise.
