Psalm 95:7 is not a call to seek God at a distance but an invitation to awaken a state of consciousness. God is the I AM within, and we are the sheep under that inward hand, already guided and protected. The pasture is your current awareness, a safe, intimate space where the inner voice speaks with authority. When you read “today, if ye will hear his voice,” you are being invited to revise your assumptions—from lack to presence, from fear to trust—by listening to the inner directive that aligns your thoughts, feelings, and actions with a fundamental truth: you belong to this divine consciousness. Obedience becomes fidelity to the inner reality, a covenant loyalty to the I AM, not external rules. Live from that inner pasture and your exterior world will follow the natural course of alignment, as the sheep move under the shepherd’s hand. In this light, hearing his voice is the daily practice of bringing imagination into harmony with reality, until your life mirrors the truth you already are.
