The Inner Crown Of God

Psalms 92:7-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 92 in context

Scripture Focus

7When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:
8But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.
Psalms 92:7-8

Biblical Context

The wicked may flourish briefly, but their end is destruction. The LORD's supremacy endures forever.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the grass and the workers of iniquity as the fleeting thoughts and deeds that rise in the egoic mind—fears, pride, and selfish schemes—that seem to flourish under the sun of time. They may appear powerful, even invincible, but their life is surface-level and temporary. In the inner sense, the only reality is the I AM, the LORD within, whose throne is forever. When you rest in that awareness, you observe the outer world as it passes, and you know that the line 'they shall be destroyed for ever' refers to the old self relinquishing its claims. The words 'thou LORD art most high for evermore' become your inner truth: God is the one awareness, the supreme ruler of your being right now. Your imagined reality to be 'high' forever is not conquest of others but alignment with your highest state. As you assume that state, the outer appearances begin to reflect it. The cosmos responds not to punishment but to the awakening of your inner recognition that you are the I AM.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly and fix attention on the I AM as the sovereign ruler of your life; declare I AM the Highest now until you feel it real. Hold to that inner state and notice how the outer appearances begin to align with it.
