Read Psalms 92 in context

Scripture Focus

7When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:
Psalms 92:7

Biblical Context

The verse notes that outward prosperity of the wicked is temporary; in time it will be removed.

Neville's Inner Vision

Psalm 92:7 presents a scene of the wicked flourishing, yet this is not a judgment on others but a revelation of states of consciousness. The 'wicked' are not persons but thoughts of separation, the 'grass' that grows when attention is given to fear, power, and gain. When you identify with these thoughts, your mind seems to prosper; you seem to see results in the world. But this prosperity is conditional and temporary, for it rests on a false premise: that you are not one with the I AM. The moment you remember that you are the I AM, the sole reality behind all phenomena, the entire scene begins to dissolve. The workers of iniquity are the acts of judgment you keep rehearing in your mind; their flourish is the drama you feed with attention. The line that they shall be destroyed forever indicates the end of that dream when you turn toward unity. In truth, no one is destroyed; the old consciousness breaks open, revealing the enduring kingdom of God within you. Let this understanding replace fear with steadiness, and the illusion of separation loses its grip.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling of the I AM; imagine the outer wicked flourishing as grass in a bright garden, then watch each blade dissolve into light as you rest in the awareness that you are one with the I AM.
