Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The psalm portrays the righteous as thriving like palm trees and cedars, planted in the LORD’s sanctuary, bearing fruit even in old age, because the LORD is upright and a rock.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this psalm I hear the claim: your inner state is the tree that grows when planted in the awareness of God. The 'righteous' are those who align their imagination with the I AM, not by outward ritual but by a settled assumption. The 'house of the LORD' is the sanctuary of consciousness where you dwell as the I AM—your all-seeing self. When you assume you are already the palm-tree flourishing or the cedar in Lebanon, the outer world rearranges to match that image. To flourish “in the courts of our God” is to find vitality where you most live—inside your own awareness. Fruit in old age symbolizes constancy: a mind and life that keep producing because it has never left its root in truth. The verse points to God as upright and your rock; there is no unrighteousness in Him, thus in your inner life there is perfect consistency. If you imagine from the end, you will see the kingdom responding to your inner declaration.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare, I am the I AM planted in the House of the LORD; feel the vitality rise as you imagine your life bearing fruit even now.
