Under Wings of Inner Peace
Psalms 91:3-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Psalm 91:3-6 speaks of deliverance from snares and danger, inviting fearless trust under divine protection.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the psalm is not a distant event but a state of consciousness. The God who delivers is the I AM within you, the awareness that never sleeps. The snare of the fowler and the noisome pestilence are not external forces but beliefs that you have about yourself, habits of fear that arise when you forget who you are. When you affirm, I AM protected, you are sealing your inner air with truth; the wings and feathers symbolize your own imaginative activity, your capacity to cover yourself with a state of awareness that cannot be penetrated by night terrors or day arrows. In this light, the truth becomes your shield and buckler, a living principle you trust. As you rest in this inner certainty, fear drops away and the sense of danger dissolves into the background light of your real presence. Delivery is not a conquest imposed from without, but a realization of the protection that already is within you, consecrated by your recognition of your divine identity.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, repeat I AM protected by the Presence I am, and revise any fear by declaring it has no power here; then feel a warm shield of wings enfold you, breathing into the sense of safety as you continue your day.
