I Am My Refuge: Psalms 91:2

Psalms 91:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Psalms 91 in context

Scripture Focus

2I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Psalms 91:2

Biblical Context

The verse asserts a personal pledge: the LORD is my refuge and fortress, and I place my trust in Him.

Neville's Inner Vision

Consider the words as a state of consciousness you inhabit. When you declare the LORD as refuge and fortress, you are not naming a distance but awakening to a certainty already present within: I AM awareness, the inner citadel that cannot be shaken by outer appearances. Neville would say: the person who trusts in God is not seeking protection from without but aligning with a higher state of being. The fortress is your inner alignment, your capacity to stand calm while appearances roar. In this inward posture, fear dissolves because you have elevated your sense of self to the I AM that never fails. The trust spoken becomes trust lived, a continuous revising of reality from limitation to security. Every thought and sensation is invited to bow to the truth: the God within is the source of all safety, guiding you through any storm. By dwelling in this state, you invite the manifestation of protection as your experience, not as a distant promise.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and repeat: 'The LORD is my refuge and fortress; in him I trust,' seeing this as already true in your heart. Feel the comfort flood your chest and dwell in that assurance until fear dissolves.
